From my own Adsense account and personal shopping habits, I knew online shopping would be up this year over last. An article over at ProBlogger confirmed my hunch.
I find Adsense very representative of the market as its payouts are largely driven by market factors caused by bidding from Advertisers. I decided to have a look at my own Adsense account to see where I stand this year compared to last.
- 35.2% increase in earnings per click
- 85.7% increase in EPM
If you don’t have much content online during this shopping season, I challenge you to start planning for next years Christmas NOW. Try to have any new sites online with some content by the end of July ‘06 as it takes some time to rise in the search engine results.
