Update on iSnare.com Article Submissions

02.13.06

About 2 weeks ago I submitted 3 articles to iSnare’s article distribution service. I was attempting to get a new site spidered, indexed, and some initial backlinks.

So, what happened?

Well, every day I’ve been searching Google, Yahoo, and MSN for phrases from the 3 articles I had distributed to see how many of them the search engines are picking up from the various article directories.

Article 1

  • Google - 9 listed
  • MSN - 19 listed
  • Yahoo - 0 listed

Article 2

  • Google - 11 listed
  • MSN - 17 listed
  • Yahoo - 0 listed

Article 3

  • Google - 8 listed
  • MSN - 19 listed
  • Yahoo - 1 listed

It looks like the articles are getting picked up for the most part. I’m largely seeing them in article directory banks, not niche specific sites to my site’s topic. But that was expected.

Yahoo appears to be a stickler at listing them from the article directories.

I also checked to see how many pages of my new site the search engines have indexed so far.

  • Google - 3 pages
  • MSN - 153 pages
  • Yahoo - 30 pages

What’s odd is Yahoo has 30 pages of my new site indexed, but it hasn’t really picked up many articles with links.

I’ve also seen some traffic from MSN and Google, with a couple Adsense clicks.

Overall, after two weeks, the results aren’t bad. Things should be looking much better a month from now. I’ll be sure to regularly update everyone!
